“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”

The origin of the Armenian Church dates back to the Apostolic age. According to the ancient tradition well supported by historical evidence, Christianity was preached in Armenia as early as the second half of the first century.

The fundamental mission of the Prelacy was and remains the Spiritual nourishment of the faithful, with the foremost responsibility of preaching the Fatherhood of God, the Salvation of men through the Holy Cross of our Lord and the establishment of the “Kingdom of God.”

The mission of the Prelacy is as old as the Christian Church and as new as the needs of tomorrow’s generation. The Prelacy has served and will continue to serve the spiritual, educational, cultural and social needs of our communities throughout Canada and remain devoted to the betterment of our nation.
