Prelacy Holds Annual Armenian Education Seminar for Teachers

Under the Auspices of His Eminence, Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate, the Armenian Prelacy of Canada’s Armenian Religious and National Education Councils, held a seminar for Armenian Sunday School teachers on August 24, 2013, at Prelacy in Montreal, Quebec.

The seminar’s opening statement was delivered by Very Rev. Father Keghart Kosbakian, Religious Education Council Coordinator in Canada.

The first lecture was given by Mr. Toros Babikian on “Introduction to Armenian Church Rites” with regards to topics used and taught for Sunday school students.

The second topic and the workshop of the seminar were on “applying teaching methods from other disciplines to Armenian subjects” and were presented by Sonia Kiledjian Ajemian.

Very Rev. Father Kosbakian, discussed on “what are the virtues of a Christian and how to apply it into the lives of kids and the youth”.

The seminar’s main objectives were to introduce and discuss teaching methods for Christianity courses and ways to improve them in Prelacy Sunday Schools.
