Երեքշաբթի, 21 Հոկտեմբեր 2025-ին, Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա. Վեհափառ Հայրապետը ջերմօրէն ընդունուեցաւԳանատայի վարչապետ Մարք Քարնիի կողմէ եւ շուրջ մէկ ժամ տեւողութեամբ հանդիպում կայացաւ իրու վարչապետին միջեւ՝ մայրաքաղաք Օթաուայի մէջ:
Հանդիպման ընթացքին տեղի ունեցած խօսակցութիւնը ընդգրկեց հետեւեալ մարզերը.- Լիբանան, Սուրիա, Միջին Արեւելք, Հայաստան, Պաղեստին ու Կազա: Յիշեալ մարզերուն առնչուած ՎեհափառՀայրապետը պարզեց իր մօտեցումներն ու մտահոգութիւնները՝ ընդառաջելով վարչապետի փափաքին:
Նորին Սրբութեան կողմէ յատուկ կերպով արծարծուեցաւ Պաքուի բանտերուն մէջ ապօրէն կերպովբանտարկուած Արցախի ղեկավարութեան հարցը: Վեհափառ Հայրապետը առաջարկեց Գանատայիվարչապետին, որ յատուկ աշխատանք տանի քաղաքական բանտարկեալներուն շուտափոյթ ազատարձակման, Արցախի ժողովուրդի վերադարձի ու ինքնիշխանութեան իրաւունքի վերահաստատման եւԱրցախի կրօնական-մշակութային կոթողներու պահպանման գծով:

HIS HOLINESS CATHOLICOS ARAM I MEETS WITH CANADIAN PRIME MINISTER MARK CARNEY
On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I was warmly received by Prime Minister Mark Carney for a meeting that lasted approximately one hour in Ottawa, the capital of Canada.
The discussion between the Prime Minister and His Holiness covered the following key areas: Lebanon, Syria, the Middle East, Armenia, Gaza and Palestinian issues. The Pontiff shared with the Prime Minister his views and concerns regarding these fields.
His Holiness specifically raised the issue of the leadership of Karabagh (Artsakh), who are illegally detained in Baku. The Pontiff proposed that the Canadian Prime Minister undertake specific efforts concerning: the immediate release of the political prisoners; the return of the people of Artsakh and the restoration of their rights of self-determination, and the preservation of Artsakh’s religious and cultural monuments.
Also present at the meeting alongside the Pontiff was the Prelate Archbishop Papken Tcharian, Khoren Dimitian Chairman of Armenian National Committee of Canada (ANCC), Raffi Donabedian board member of Armenian National Committee International and World Delegate of the Armenian Church of Cilicia.
