Christmas is a time of giving; “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” (John 3:16).

In December 2019, under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Papken Tcharian, Prelate of Canada, the Christian Education Department and the Youth Ministry of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada, with the supervision of Right Rev. Fr. Keghart Kosbakian, Vicar General, organized a “12 Deeds of Christmas” activities across Canada.

Armenian youth from Vancouver to Toronto, Montreal to Cambridge, and Laval, came together, with the support of the local parishes, to experience the joy of giving, be it through serving at homeless shelters, visiting nursing homes, going out to the streets and distributing blessing bags to the homeless, and visiting Armenian families on the Eve of the Armenian Christmas on January 5th for Caroling “Avedoom”. Thus, spreading the Love of Christ in the communities Canada-wide.

While serving the less fortunate and the needy, our youth found purpose and meaning in the selfless service to others. The “12 Deeds of Christmas” became an opportunity for the youth to not only give, but to learn the value of life, with profound perspective and appreciation to God’s blessings, which we enjoy every day with a grateful heart.

On this occasion, we would like to thank our donors for their generosity and support for this special project.

We wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year!
