Այս առիթով, Գանատայի Հայոց Թեմի Բարեխնամ Առաջնորդ՝ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Բաբգէն ԱրքեպիսկոպոսՉարեան ներկայ գտնուեցաւ եւ իր պատգամը փոխանցեց սոյն տօնախմբութեան։

ARCHBISHOP TCHARIAN ATTENDS ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN WEEK IN ONTARIO
On Friday, April 17, 2026, organized by the Office of the Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) took place the “Orthodox Christian Week,” which is an official Act in the Province of Ontario (Bill 167) that proclaims: “The seven-day period in each year starting on Orthodox Easter Sunday is proclaimed as Orthodox Christian Week.”
The briefing was a bipartisan event featuring four MPPs representing the province’s three major political parties. Participants included:

MPP Jonathan Tsao
His Eminence Archbishop Papken Tcharian attended alongside fellow Orthodox hierarchs, including His Eminence Archbishop Dr. Mitrofan Kodić (Serbian Orthodox Church of Canada), His Eminence Archbishop Demetros (Ethiopian Tewahedo Orthodox Church of Canada), and His Grace Bishop Athenagoras of Patara (Greek Orthodox Church of Canada).
The hierarchs offered messages of unity and faith, emphasizing that despite cultural diversity, all Orthodox Christians are united in Jesus Christ and are called to bear witness to their faith in society.
Following the briefing, participants attended a reception featuring Armenian duduk music and Georgian dance, concluding with fellowship and shared hospitality.
The Armenian Prelacy of Canada extends its appreciation to all organizers and Members of Provincial Parliament for this meaningful initiative promoting unity and cooperation.
