More than 150 people gathered for the Prelacy’s 8th annual Thanksgiving dinner, which was held under the Auspices of His Eminence, Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate, at the Montreal Armenian Community Centre’s Aharonian Hall on October 14, 2013. The traditional feast was organized by the Prelacy’s Ladies Guild.
Prior to blessing the meal, Archbishop Hagopian expressed the importance of giving thanks and showing appreciation for all of our lives treasures year-round and ensuring that we don’t take our surroundings for granted, particularly our youth, family and community.
During the event, Archbishop Hagopian honored the Ladies Guild members who served the Prelacy for the last decade. Recipients of Special Acknowledgement and gift of appreciation were Mrs. Any Basmadjian, chairperson for the last ten years, Mrs. Silva Ehramdjian, Mrs. Vanine Kabassakalian, Mrs. Vanda Keusseyan, Mrs. Annie Kouyoumdjian, Mrs. Lily Markarian and Mrs. Sonia Piliguian.
The annual lottery was drawn as well and the winning numbers were:
First Prize: $3,000 winning number is 704
Second Prize: $1,500 winning number is 41
Third Prize: $500 winning number is 1756.
