Կազմակերպութեամբ Թինտէյլլ (Tyndale) համալսարանին եւ Գանատայի Հայոց Թեմի ազգայինառաջնորդարանին, Նիկիոյ Տիեզերական Ա. Ժողովի (325) 1700 ամեակին առիթով, տեղի ունեցաւհրապարակային հանդիսութիւն մը, յիշեալ համալսարանի մատրան մէջ: Հայ համայնքիներկայացուցիչներու կողքին ներկայ էին համալսարանի դասախօսներն ու ուսանողները:

Շքախումբին եւ քննարկման իրենց մասնակցութիւնը բերին նաեւ Թինտէյլ Համալսարանի Անձնակազմը՝Նախագահ՝ Դոկտ. Մարճորի Քըռը, Տնօրէն՝ Դոկտ. Պէթ Կրինը, Դպրեվանքի Տեսուչ՝ Դոկտ. Թինտըլ Համալսարանի նախագահ դոկտ. Մարճորի Քըռը ողջունեց Վեհափառ Հայրապետը եւ իրբացման խօսքին մէջ յիշեց առաջին հանդիպումը, որ ունեցած էր Նորին Սրբութեան հետ երկու տարիառաջ, երբ ան Թորոնթոյի Համալսարանին մէջ դասախօսութիւն մը տուած էր 2023-ի Յունիս։
Համալսարանի բարձրագոյն ուսմանց եւ Դպրեվանքի Տեսուչ՝ Դոկտ. Մայքըլ Քրաուս Նիկիոյ ՏիեզերականԺողովին նուիրուած երկխօսութեան եւ քննարկման հանդիսավարն էր։ Ան իր խօսքին մէջ ըսաւ. «ՆիկիոյՀանգանակի ոգիով, մեր ներկայութիւնը այսօր միջ-եկեղեցական ներկայութիւն է։ ԹինտէյլՀամալսարանը ինքնզինք կը նկատէ որպէս միջ-եկեղեցական մեծ համայնք, իր մէջ ներառելով աւելիքան 90 յարանուանութիւններ»:
Ապա, համալսարանի շրջանաւարտ Տարոն սարկաւագ Հալլաճեան ներկայացուց Նորին Սրբութիւնը, մասնաւորաբար լուսարձակի տակ առնելով անոր միջ-եկեղեցական շարժումին մէջ ունեցածտասնամեակներու վաստակն ու կարեւոր դերակատարութիւնը:
Վեհափառ Հայրապետին դասախօսութենէն առաջ տեղի ունեցաւ միջ-եկեղեցական աղօթք, որուն իրենցմասնակցութիւնը բերին դասախօսութեան ներկայ բոլոր օտար եկեղեցականները, իսկ շարականներուերգեցողութիւնը կատարեց Թորոնթոյի Սուրբ Աստուածածին եկեղեցւոյ դպրաց դասը:
Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա. Կաթողիկոս իր խօսքին մէջ յայտնելով Նիկիոյ Տիեզերական Ա. Ժողովինկարեւորութիւնը՝ շեշտեց, թէ այս ժողովը իր Հաւատոյ Հանգանակով եւ եկեղեցւոյ կանոնական կեանքինառնչուած որոշումներով յատուկ տեղ կը գրաւէ համաքրիստոնէական կեանքին մէջ, ինչպէս երէկ, նաեւ՝այսօր: Ապա, անդրադառնալով յատկապէս Նիկիոյ Հաւատոյ Հանգանակին՝ Հայրապետը վերլուծեցանոր առանցքային կարեւորութիւնը՝ որպէս աղբիւր քրիստոնէական միութեան, քրիստոնէականհաւատքի ուղղափառութեան եւ եկեղեցւոյ կանոնական հիմնական սկզբունքներուն:
Իր դասախօսութեան երկրորդ բաժինին մէջ, Վեհափառ Հայրապետը շեշտեց վերաքննութեանենթարկելու Նիկիոյ Հաւատոյ Հանգանակին հիմնական սկզբունքները՝ ներկայ ժամանակներուաստուածաբանական նոր մտածողութիւններու լոյսին տակ, մէկ կողմէ նշելով հասարակացյայտարարները, եւ միւս կողմէ՝ տարբերութիւնները, բնականաբար ընդգծելով Նիկիոյ ՀաւատոյՀանգանակին հիմնական ուղղութեան հաւատարիմ մնալու հրամայականը:
Դասախօսութեան աւարտին քննարկում տեղի ունեցաւ համալսարանի դասախօսներուն կողմէ: Այսծիրէն ներս, Հայրապետը պատասխանեց իրեն ուղղուած հարցումներուն եւ կատարեց անհրաժեշտմեկնաբանութիւններ եւ տուաւ լուսաբանութիւններ կարգ մը խնդիրներու շուրջ:
Յայտնենք, որ դասախօսութենէն առաջ հանդիպում մը կայացաւ դասախօսներուն հետ, որունընթացքին Նորին Սրբութիւնը իր տեսակէտները յայտնեց Թինտէյլ Համալսարանի եւ Գանատայի ՀայոցԹեմի գործակցութեամբ նոր հաստատուած Հայ Եկեղեցւոյ Պատմութեան դասընթացքին շուրջ։

His Holiness Aram I Delivers Keynote Address at Tyndale University
“The Nicene Creed preserves its importance and relevance 1700 Years later” His Holiness underscored during his keynote address at Tyndale University.
On Monday October 20, 2025, the Armenian Prelacy of Canada and Tyndale University hosted a historic joint event commemorating the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, one of the most significant councils in Christian history. The evening brought together clergy, scholars, students, and faithful from various Christian traditions for an ecumenical reflection on the enduring legacy of the Council and its theological impact over the centuries.
His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia presided over the commemoration. His Holiness was accompanied by Archbishop Papken Tcharian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada, and Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate of the Eastern United States, His Grace Bishop Boulos of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Mississauga and Western Canada, Bishop Robert Saeed Jarjis of the Chaldean Catholic Eparchy of Mar Addai in Canada, Archimandrite Makarios Wehbi of the Eparchy for the Melkite Greek Catholics in Canada, Reverend Father Petre Busuioc of the Romanian Orthodox Diocese of Canada, President and Vice Chancellor Dr. Marjory Kerr, Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Beth Green, Academic Dean of Seminary and Graduate Studies Dr. Michael Krause, Professor of Global Christianity Dr. Wafik Wahba, Associate Professor of Christian History Dr. Ashoor Yousif and Professor of Theology Dr. James Pedlar.
The Armenian delegation also included Vicar General of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada, Right Rev. Fr. Keghart Kosbakian, parish priest of St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto, Right Rev. Fr. Karekin Shekherdemian, His Holiness’ staff-bearer, Very Rev. Fr. Sarkis Libarian, Director of the Armenian Prelacy of Canda’s Education Department, Very Rev. Hagop Yacoubian, parish priest of St. Nishan Armenian Apostolic Church of Cambridge, Rev. Fr. Nshan Manougian, Pastor Ara Balkjian and Pastor Zohrab Sarkissian of the Armenian Evangelical Church, and Prelacy Project Coordinator, Dn. Daron Halajian.
Tyndale President, Dr. Marjory Kerr welcomed His Holiness in her opening address where she recalled when the two of them had first met in June of 2023 at the University of Toronto. Tyndale Seminary Dean, Dr. Michael Krause, who was the moderator of the panel discussion that evening opened by stating, “In the spirit of the Nicene Creed, our presence here itself is an ecumenical, religious and spiritual event. Tyndale University considers itself an ecumenical community.”
Tyndale Seminary graduate, Dn. Daron Halajian then introduced His Holiness, drawing particular attention to His Holiness’ decades-long engagement in the ecumenical movement and His crucial contributions.
Prior to His Holiness’ keynote address, an ecumenical prayer commenced with the participation of all the clergy and faculty present.
The singing of hymns, led by choir director Anush Galstyan, were presented by Toronto St. Mary Zareh Aznavorian Choir.
His Holiness highlighted that the Nicene Creed and the canons of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea hold a special place in the life of the Church just as much today as they did in the past. Giving particular attention to the creed, he underscored that the creed serves as a source for Christian unity, orthodox faith and the foundation of ecclesial canonicity.
In the second portion of His address, His Holiness drew attention to the need for reevaluating the Nicene Creed’s foundational principals under the light of new theological frameworks, on the one hand taking into account common denominators and on the other hand, the differences whilst maintaining faithful to the foundational orthodoxy of Nicaea.
At the end of the keynote address, a dialogue took place amongst His Holiness and the Tyndale University professors. In this context, His Holiness answered questions and made necessary suggestions, provided interpretations and gave further explanations.
Let us add, that prior to the event, a meeting took place with the Tyndale University administration, during which His Holiness shared His perspectives on the Armenian Apostolic Church History Course which will be offered next year at the university and is being prepared in collaboration with the Armenian Prelacy of Canada and Tyndale University.
